In designing a second-story addition, our goal at Thomas Custom Builders is to make it look like it was there from the beginning. In this case, we added to the existing family room at the back of the house. We also added a dormer to the front of the home to accommodate space on the landing for a second closet. Both the master and secondary closet feature beautiful, custom, built in cabinetry. The spacious master bedroom opens to a covered deck through double French doors. The new hallway leads to both closets as well as the new master bathroom complete with double sinks and a stylish, light grey shaker cabinetry. The oversized walk-in shower boasts two shower heads, including a rain shower. The mixed sea foam tile and white subway add interest and dimension. The new master suite is accessed by a staircase from the middle floor of this split-level home. Building a second story addition is incredibly exciting.
